Beginning October 6, the Orange County location will kick off a month of scientific thrills and chills with the launch of Pumpkin Palooza. The Orange County location of Discovery Cube, Southern California’s leading children’s science museum, is celebrating Halloween with the introduction of a brand-new festival of science fun – Pumpkin Palooza. There’s something for every little ghost and goblin this October, with two floors of freaky fun, an interactive dance party, bumper cars, life-size corn mazes, and more.

The not-so-scary “Pumpkin Palooza” celebrations begin on Thursday, Oct. 6, and continue through Monday, Oct. 31, with a slew of new, spellbinding science activities for kids of all ages. Open Thursday through Sunday, visitors can expect a howling good time as the new festival features some of the most scientifically ridiculous Halloween activities concocted in the lab, including:

The Pumpkin Palooza Dance Party – A 30-minute interactive dance party featuring a 20-foot projection-mapped DJ named “Jack-o-Lynn” spinning today’s hottest dance hits.

Caution! Ride Boo’s Bumper Cars! Little ghosts and goblins will learn the laws of motion and speed by flying around a man-made track.

Crazy Mazes – Guests will test their cognitive abilities by navigating two crazy maze challenges.

Pick-A-Pumpkin Patch – Look no further; this patch has the prettiest pumpkins as guests pick and play among the gourds.

There are more things to do as well. Prepare to have a good time as guests are encouraged to dress up and have a good time across two floors of the “Pumpkin Palooza” festival showcase. The fall festival experience costs $5 and is not included in the general admission price for entry. Ticket sales for Discovery Cube’s Orange County Pumpkin Palooza are now open at www.discoverycube.com. The ticket price includes costume parades on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as a very special Trick or Treating experience on Sunday, October 30, 2022, and Halloween day, Monday, October 31, 2022.

The Discovery Cube, founded in 1989, is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit children’s science museum dedicated to serving the needs and interests of children, educators, and the general public.
