A revolutionary idea that strengthens connections with nature will be introduced to guests at the intimate property.  The brand’s first adult-only tented resort in the Americas, Naviva®, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico, is now accepting reservations for travel beginning on December 1, 2022, and onward. The unmatched and unorthodox Naviva experience supports community, personal growth, and knowledge advancement. It is a nature retreat with 15 luxury tents tucked away in 48 forested acres (19 hectares) on a private peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Naviva is one of the smallest Four Seasons resorts in the world, with only 15 luxurious tents created by Luxury Frontiers, each with a private plunge pool. A high-touch, yet understated adult-only experience inspired by biophilia, which is defined as “love of life or living things,” is created by the Resort’s transforming approach and certified Naviva guides.

Through biophilic design, an approach to architecture that connects people to their natural environment, Naviva embraces the inherent connection that humans have with nature. Arriving to Naviva, visitors are immediately immersed in nature as they meet their guide on a bamboo bridge designed to resemble a cocoon and look out over a deep woodland valley.

Throughout their stay, visitors will continue to feel close links to nature. Each independent luxury tent has a large interior and exterior space that flow into one another, providing visitors with indirect links to nature through the use of textures and materials that resemble the natural patterns present in the surroundings.

With an open-air living area and separate bedroom that flow to a private plunge pool and spacious terrace with a hammock and outdoor shower, Luxury Frontiers intended the interiors of each tent to engage people’s innate yearning to seek prospect, sanctuary, mystery, and thrill. As visitors pursue their passions and discover new ones with the genuine support of their professional Naviva guides, daily life at Naviva creates the conditions for personal transformation. Guests can participate in unscheduled Naviva events at the Resort, including small-batch Mexican coffee tastings, stargazing, and sunset rituals.

Additionally, guests can partake in Signature Naviva activities that highlight the uniqueness, history, and skill of regional artists and traditions, such as visiting award-winning local artist Jose Juan Esparza in his private home and workshop, nighttime forest bathing, sound therapy, and breathwork. With two spa pods tucked away in the forest, a traditional Mexican temazcal or “house of heat,” an outdoor gym, a tranquil jungle oasis at the Alma Pool, and a private 575-foot (175-metre) stretch of pristine Pacific beachfront, Naviva offers a variety of private spaces that depart from traditional hotel wellness offerings.

All meals and snacks throughout the Resort, 24-hour in-tent dining, pool and beach service, all beverages, including premium wine and spirits, one 60-minute spa treatment per guest, group activities, mind and body classes, Unscripted Naviva experiences, guide planning, and in-tent amenities are all included in the price of luxury tents, which start at USD 3,950 per night. You can pay extra for exclusive Naviva experiences, uncommon or specially ordered drinks, additional spa treatments, private classes or training, and airport transfers.
