Nonstop flights to Las Vegas and ticket giveaways begin daily service today. Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) inaugurated service at Albuquerque (ABQ) today, sending its recognizable black and yellow aircraft soaring above the Land of Enchantment. With the addition of the new route, visitors to Albuquerque now have a daily nonstop alternative to Las Vegas (LAS) and more than a dozen connections to other cities in the country.
A lucky traveler from Albuquerque won a spontaneous trip that included tickets on Spirit’s inaugural flight to Las Vegas, a $400 gift card to the Miracle Mile Shops, and a three-night stay at the Luxor Hotel & Casino as part of the airline’s “Spiritaneous” giveaway at the airport in honor of the new service at the Sunport. In addition to Spiritaneous, the airline is commemorating by giving visitors to Albuquerque a chance to fly to Las Vegas. One lucky winner will receive two round-trip tickets on Spirit’s brand-new, nonstop service to Las Vegas, as well as free luggage, seat selection, and expedited boarding. In addition, winners will receive a three-night stay at Treasure Island as well as two tickets to the Cirque du Soleil performance Mystère, thanks to a collaboration with the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority. By departing seats at LAS, Spirit is the second-largest carrier this year. The Spirit Charitable Foundation gave $20,000 to Mandy’s Farm to mark the carrier’s arrival in Albuquerque. The nonprofit organization with its headquarters in Albuquerque supports persons with developmental impairments in reaching their objectives for residing, studying, and working in the neighborhood. Children and Families, Service Members, and the Environment are the Foundation’s three main pillars, and the Foundation is dedicated to funding institutions like Mandy’s Farm that have a significant societal impact on one of these areas.
