By operating twice daily on its busy New York route, Etihad Airways is making travel between the US and the UAE even more easy. On the Abu Dhabi-New York route, the airline will begin operating twice daily, seven days a week, beginning on 24 April 2023. This will result in a total of 14 weekly nonstop flights to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Both the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, two of the world’s most fuel-efficient airplanes that emit much less CO2 than dual aisle aircraft from earlier generations, will be used for the flights.
Customers flying to the US more frequently now have access to connections with JetBlue, New York’s Hometown Airline® and a codeshare partner of Etihad, to and from 47 locations across the Americas. The announcement coincides with Etihad’s announcement of further expansion of its global network with the resumption of flights to Kolkata and the improvement of traveler access to the Indian Subcontinent and GCC area.
Customers of the Environmental Airline of the Year can offset their trips with the airline’s green loyalty program by flying with Etihad. Conscious Choices rewards travelers with Tier Miles and extra perks for checking less baggage and using Etihad Guest Miles to offset the carbon emissions of their travels. This summer, Etihad will provide a total of 28 weekly services between Abu Dhabi and the United States, including 14 flights per week to New York-JFK and daily services to Chicago and Washington.
