Good day, Cleveland! Miami, hello! Alaska Airlines has added two additional destinations to its route map. They’ve also launched new nonstop routes from Boise to Idaho Falls and Las Vegas, as well as a new nonstop flight from Anchorage to Salt Lake City that begins operation this weekend. With the official start of summer only a few days away, Alaska Airlines is expanding our horizons once again with the opening of five new flights this week, as many of us look forward to having fun in the sun in new places.
With daily nonstop service from our main hub in Seattle, we’re now flying to two new cities: Cleveland and Miami. In addition, we continue to expand in Boise, with new nonstops to Idaho Falls and Las Vegas. In addition, a new nonstop flight has been added between Anchorage and Salt Lake City. Today is the first day of service between Seattle and Cleveland. We’re the only airline connecting Northeast Ohio’s bustling city with nonstop service to the Pacific Northwest this summer. With daily nonstop flights to Seattle, Cleveland joins Columbus and Cincinnati as the third city we’ll serve in Ohio.
In addition, we’re starting a new daily nonstop flight between Seattle and Miami today. The iconic South Florida vacation resort – a cultural hotspot for tourists from all over the world thanks to its outstanding nightlife, art, music, architecture, and gastronomy – becomes our 100th nonstop destination from Seattle. We’ve been providing nonstop service between Seattle and Fort Lauderdale, just north of Miami, since 2012.
In Boise, we’re continuing to expand with a pair of new flights that we know our visitors are looking forward to seeing. From the Idaho capital city, we now offer daily nonstop service to both Idaho Falls and Las Vegas. With these new routes, we’ll be able to provide an average of 31 daily departures from Boise to 15 different locations, all of which are nonstop.
Our flight between Idaho Falls and Boise will make business and leisure travel easier and more convenient. The flight schedules are ideal for a day excursion from Idaho Falls to Boise: a mid-morning departure followed by an early-evening return flight. The new route combines our existing flights from Spokane/Coeur d’Alene and Pullman/Moscow, connecting all of Idaho’s major population centers to Boise.
Beginning June 18, we’ll connect Anchorage and Salt Lake City, two summertime destinations known for outdoor adventures. Every week, we’ll fly nonstop. This summer, we’ll fly to 22 different locations nonstop from Anchorage. Alaska is a member of the OneWorld global alliance. Our visitors can earn and redeem miles with oneworld and our additional airline partners to fly on more than 20 oneworld and partner airlines all over the world through our highly regarded Mileage Plan program.
