Tickets for a new immersive experience commemorating King Tut’s discovery and Egypt’s wonders are now on sale. Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience, a National Geographic exhibition, will open on July 8 at SoWa Power Station for a limited run, bringing the beauty and mystery of Ancient Egypt to Boston. The anticipated exhibition, which brings the National Geographic Society’s storied archives to life, combines the power of cinematic storytelling and soaring images to immerse viewers in the world of the golden king like never before.
Meet Ancient Egyptian gods like Ra and Anubis before descending inside King Tut’s burial chamber and joining his quest for immortality in National Geographic’s Beyond King Tut. Relive one of history’s greatest finds: the king’s tomb, complete with all of his treasures, rescued from the desert sand after 3,000 years. Wind your way through nine galleries to learn about a young child whose name still looms large in history and how he impacted the ancient – and modern – world. Beyond King Tut is produced by Paquin Entertainment Group and Immersive Experiences, which includes the creative team behind the world-famous King Tut artifact exhibitions. The celebrated Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet shows, which have garnered over 3 million people worldwide, are among Paquin Entertainment Group’s exhibition repertoire. The world-renowned Normal Studio in Montreal will bring the wonders of ancient and modern Egypt to life from the National Geographic Society’s photo and video collections, delivering a trip across Egypt like no other.
Tickets are timed and dated, and prior purchase is strongly advised due to the likelihood of sellouts. Adults pay $32.50, while children aged 5 to 15 pay $22.50. (plus ticketing fees). There are package rates available for families, seniors (on Tuesdays), military, and groups, as well as VIP Tickets, which include a flex ticket for anytime entry, merchandise, and access to the award-winning “Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb” VR companion experience, which is voiced by acclaimed English actor Hugh Bonneville.
