On Sundays, April 3 and May 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., join a birding specialist from the Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society for a migratory birding hike. Kim Ehn will lead the hike in April. Meet at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center to carpool to the month’s birding location. There is no requirement for prior experience. Bring binoculars and appropriate clothing for the weather.

On March 31, 2022, the national park will begin charging an entrance fee. A one- to seven-day pass costs $25 per car. There is also a $45 annual pass for the Indiana Dunes National Park. There will be no admittance price for holders of federal passes. Visit www.nps.gov/indu for additional information on other federal park passes as well as the increased charge at Indiana Dunes National Park.

Passes and entrance fees can be purchased at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center or online at www.recreation.gov/sitepass/indu. Passes will be available for purchase through additional sites in the near future.

The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is about a mile north of Interstate 94 at 1215 North State Road 49. Call 219-395-1882 or visit our website at www.nps.gov/indu or our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/IndianaDunesNPS for more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park.
