Simplified protocols are being implemented as interest in booking 2023 Alaska cruises grows. Holland America Line is pleased with the recent announcement that Canadian pandemic border restrictions will be lifted. The new guidelines eliminate the need for Canadian border vaccinations and testing, which is a significant step forward for the cruise industry in simplifying the travel process for itineraries to Alaska and Canada.

The new procedures eliminate the need for people entering Canada to be vaccinated, eliminate COVID-19 testing at airports, and make the use of the ArriveCan app optional by the end of September. Current cruises will require protocols that have been previously communicated. Holland America Line will notify guests when protocols for future sailings will be lifted.

Aside from Canada relaxing border restrictions, Holland America Line is making it even easier for guests to plan a cruise with a new Health Protocols Tool on the Holland America Line website. Now, booked guests can simply enter their booking number to find out the exact vaccination and testing requirements. All 2022 cruises are now available, and departures for 2023 will be added soon.

From April to September 2023, six Holland America Line ships will sail roundtrip from Seattle, Washington; roundtrip from Vancouver, British Columbia; or one-way between Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska, and Vancouver. Holland America Line, which visits Glacier Bay more than any other major cruise line, incorporates 75 years of Alaska expertise into every detail of the journey.

16 different Cruisetours combine a three-, four-, or seven-day Alaska cruise with an inland exploration of Denali National Park for explorers who want to go deeper into the Great Land. Holland America Line is the only cruise line that offers land tours to Canada’s remote Yukon Territory. From April to September, the two ships offer a series of “Canada & New England Discovery” departures that highlight the quintessential towns of New England as well as Canada’s undeniable Old-World French flair.

Guests on the Zuiderdam can embark on a 25-day voyage to Newfoundland, Greenland, and Iceland, while the Zaandam offers 10- and 11-day cruises to Newfoundland. For 150 years, Holland America Line has been exploring the world with expertly crafted itineraries, exceptional service, and genuine connections to the destinations.
