Elegant dining rooms and immersive entertainment options will be available aboard the cutting-edge ship, which will also bring passengers closer to the ocean. During a multi-day trial from August 17–20, MSC Seascape successfully finished her first in-depth system tests at sea. This will be the second ship of the Seaside EVO subclass and the fourth Seaside-class ship for MSC Cruises to be constructed by Fincantieri, one of the biggest shipbuilding companies in the world.
The Seaside EVO ships are an advancement of the ground-breaking and well-liked Seaside class, with eye-catching design elements, gorgeous public areas, and thrilling new experiences for guests. MSC Seascape pays homage to the ocean’s splendor and is built to enable passengers to experience new perspectives at sea. The 169,400 GT ship will be handed over to MSC Cruises in the latter part of November, and it will start operating in December 2022, making year-round trips from Miami to the Caribbean. MSC Seascape will be the second MSC Cruises ship to debut this year after MSC World Europa.
By crossing the Atlantic on MSC Seascape’s delivery voyage, cruise enthusiasts can be among the first passengers. A spectacular way to spend Thanksgiving at sea, the MSC Grand Voyage will set sail from Civatavecchia (Rome) on Saturday, November 19, and call at ports in Bermuda, Spain, and Portugal en route to New York City on Monday, December 5. On December 7, 2022, the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City will host the naming ceremony for MSC Seascape. There are two distinct seven-night itineraries that the new ship will offer:
- Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in The Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic
- Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico, George Town in the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in Jamaica
Similar to her sister ship, MSC Seascape has entirely reinvented 65% of its public areas from the original Seaside class design. These areas will elevate the guest experience and provide stunning venues and opportunities to explore new seaside horizons:
7,567 square feet of specifically designated children’s space, 98 hours of live entertainment per ship, and cutting-edge entertainment alternatives
2,270 accommodations, including coveted aft suites, in 12 different types of staterooms and suites with balconies. There are 11 dining establishments, 19 bars, and numerous outdoor dining and drinking alternatives.
There are six pools total, including a gorgeous aft infinity pool with breathtaking ocean views.
One of the biggest and most opulent yacht clubs in MSC Cruises’ fleet, the MSC Yacht Club will have more than 32,000 square feet of space and command panoramic ocean views from the ship’s foredecks.
The vessel will be outfitted with the most recent environmental technologies, such as selective catalytic reduction systems on each of the four Wartsila 14V 46F engines that can minimize nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90% by turning the gas into harmless nitrogen and water. Sulphur Oxide will be eliminated from MSC Seascape’s emissions using a hybrid exhaust gas cleaning system in 98 percent of cases.
With greater market share and deployed capacity than any other cruise line, MSC Cruises is the third-largest cruise line in the world and the market leader in Europe, South America, the Gulf of Mexico, and Southern Africa. With a significant presence in the Caribbean, North America, and the Far East regions, it is also the cruise brand with the quickest rate of growth globally. One of the two brands that make up the Cruises Division of the top privately held Swiss shipping and logistics company, MSC Group, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and more than 300 years of maritime history, MSC Cruises.
