Icelandair has launched its spring fare sale just as additional European destinations announce plans to reopen or remove restrictions.
From February 22 to March 8, the airline is offering round-trip prices as low as $379 for economy light seats and $999 for ultra premium (equivalent to business class) on flights from 12 US cities (and three Canadian locations) to 20 European destinations.
The following are some of Icelandair’s finest deals:
- Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Stockholm, Sweden, and Helsinki, Finland: $399
- Baltimore (BWI) to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Dublin, Ireland: $399
- Chicago (ORD) to Brussels, Belgium: $419
It’s worth noting that the discounts don’t apply throughout the summer months. April 20 through June 15, and August 15 through December 20, 2022, are the only dates available. Despite the fact that Icelandair has codeshare agreements with businesses like Alaska and JetBlue, the discount is only valid on Icelandair flights.
Icelandair’s economy light rate is also the most basic—it doesn’t offer checked baggage, seat selection, or much flexibility in changing tickets once they’ve been issued. However, upgrading to economy standard, which includes those amenities, normally costs around $60.
