Cypress Springs Water Park, a 3-acre water wonderland with seven water slides, two swimming pools, a multi-level playground, surf simulator, action river, and more, is open to Gaylord Palms Resort guests this summer. The water park sits in the heart of the 64-acre resort, which is minutes away from central Florida’s famed amusement parks and offers an exceptional experience for overnight guests.

At Cypress Springs Water Park, guests can enjoy two pools: a zero-entry pool and the South Beach Pool. The zero-entry pool is jam-packed with fun for kids, featuring a large video wall and full-size basketball hoops. The South Beach Pool, which was inspired by Miami’s tiny, tree-lined pools, is ideal for visitors who want to swim laps or lounge poolside in a tropical setting. The South Beach Pool and a zero-entry pool are available to visitors at Cypress Springs Water Park. Children’s activities, a massive video wall, and full-size basketball hoops abound in the zero-entry pool. Big Cypress Tower, which has three water slides, attracts thrill seekers. Riders plunge 35 feet through a trap door before whirling to the finish in the slide’s massive basin on the Florida Free Fall. Tamiami Twister (a mix of “Tampa” and “Miami”), a two-lane racing slide, is located just beneath Florida Free Fall. Guests can select between the Tampa and Miami slides and sprint to the finish line.

Four water slides suitable for smaller swimmers are located in a huge play area for kids. On three levels, a multi-level treehouse playground with interactive water features serves as the focal point of the children’s section. A tipping bucket perched atop the treehouse fills a dozen times every hour, sending 317 gallons of water plummeting below. An unpredictable geyser, splash pad, and shell-shaped mini-slide provide extra more fun for kids.

Crystal River Rapids is a “action river” that takes visitors through waterfalls, tunnels, and gigantic, showering leaves at over four feet per second. There are also alcoves along the river where visitors can relax and soak up the sun. The 2021 opening of the attraction was inspired by Florida’s clean, spring-fed waters.

The Wake Zone FlowRider keeps the waves high at Gaylord Palms. Guests can bodyboard or surf under the supervision of an expert trainer for an additional charge. The surf simulator is suitable for people of all skill levels, from those who have never surfed before to seasoned pros. It is necessary to make reservations.

Near the water playground, around the zero-entry pool, along the banks of Crystal River Rapids, and by South Beach Pool, premium poolside chairs are offered. Near Crystal River Rapids, there are day beds available. For a day of riverfront leisure, day beds comfortably accommodate up to two adults, with a maximum of four per bed.

A separate cabana can be reserved for enhanced luxury and convenience. Each cabana includes a roomy lounging area, different snacks and beverages, a mini-fridge, security safe, television, and ceiling fan for poolside enjoyment. Ordering more refreshments from poolside staff is simple and convenient.

Guests won’t have to travel far to get a refreshing beverage or a delectable snack. Fresh salads, tasty flatbreads, sandwiches, and a children’s menu are available at SandBar, which is located inside the water park. A broad variety of tropical cocktails, mocktails, wine, ice-cold beer, and soft drinks are also available.
