Daytona Beach has been a popular destination for astute group leaders looking for superb golf, good times, and good value, resulting in an inflow of newcomers looking for the area’s best courses. With roughly 20 golf courses, including two Donald Ross designs, a US Open qualifying location, and three layouts that have hosted professional events, determining Daytona Beach’s “best” courses is by definition subjective. With that in mind, here are five golf courses in Daytona Beach that you must visit in 2022:

The Jones Course at LPGA International, a 36-hole property in Daytona Beach, challenges players with some of Central Florida’s best greens complexes, extensive waste bunkers, and natural marsh regions. When the LPGA staged its titleholders event in Daytona Beach, the Rees Jones course was a favorite of the world’s best female golfers. It also boasts spacious fairways framed by mounding, producing the iconic views that players adore.

Victoria Hills is one of Florida’s top 15 public courses, and it doesn’t take long for players to see why. The course is built on naturally rolling terrain with pine tree-lined fairways, which gives it a unique look for a Florida layout. This Ron Garl design is a must-play for golfers in Volusia County’s western reaches.

Halifax Plantation has risen to the top of many must-play lists thanks to a greens restoration initiative. The greens on the Bill Amick course are among the smoothest in the area thanks to the new Champion Ultra dwarf bermuda grass. Halifax runs through centuries-old trees, giving splendor to a spotless plan.

For many, Daytona Beach is known as the “World Center of Racing,” so it’s only logical that one of the area’s fastest games of golf is also one of its most pleasurable. Crane Lakes Golf Club, a par 66 course with eight par 3s and two par 5s, may be completed in under three hours and a half, although it is not a “short course.” The longest hole 4 at Crane Lakes is 380 yards, and the shortest par 3 is 151 yards.
