1. Know the times that are best for you. There is no one way to enjoy a Disney park visit, so be sure to research what times of day are busiest and allow enough time for yourself during those times.

2. Arrive early and plan to leave late. The earlier you arrive, the more options you have for rides, shows, and dining. The later you leave, the less crowded the parks will be.

3. Use FastPass+ if available. FastPass+ is a system at Disney parks that allows you to reserve rides in advance, and often provides reduced wait times.

4. Bring snacks and drinks with you. The parks can get very crowded, and it can be hard

Leave between 12 and 1 p.m. to give your legs a rest during the hectic period. Return at 4-5 p.m., just before the parks close, when the crowds have died down. It’s possible that you’ll end up walking 10-12 miles per day, so take it easy on yourself. Even with the short park hours, I felt this was necessary.

Lunch should be ordered as soon as possible. We’d order lunch in the morning so that we could pick it up about 12 p.m. It will be more difficult to get food and an acceptable pick-up time if you wait until lunchtime.

Bring several pairs of tennis shoes with you. I only took one pair of shoes, and it would have been wonderful to have some variety. You may find that your feet maybe in excruciating pain.
