Seasonal traveler events will educate and agitate for change while providing unique and memorable experiences.  This summer, visitors to Miami Beach can participate in seasonal events and experiences that combine the elements of a luxury vacation with community awareness and change projects. According to the Kind Traveler 2022 Influence Tourism research, 96 percent of visitors believe it is critical that their tourism dollars have a good impact on the communities they visit as well as the environment.

Beginning this month, tourists will be able to participate in new ways while also taking advantage of a variety of destination services that help put tourism dollars to good use in the spirit of giving back. Miami Beach is the ideal place for individuals looking to make a difference while on vacation, with limited-time educational exhibitions and charity fashion events, as well as hotel stays with hands-on, in-the-sand activations.

As an unparalleled summer tourism season begins, visitors to Miami Beach can look forward to a variety of limited-time experiences, beginning with World Oceans Day. On June 8, starting at 5 p.m., The Lost Explorer will host a complimentary, sustainable Mezcal tasting at Eden Roc Miami Beach. Guests will enjoy an evening of finding center and doing good in collaboration with Clean Miami Beach, a local non-profit. The commitment will be continued at the W South Beach during the 2nd Annual World Ocean Weekend Celebration on June 11th and 12th. The festival, which is being organized by Blue Scholars Initiative and Art Sail, will include the entire community and also address specific oceanographic issues in the area.

Travelers can also immerse themselves in the local natural scene while remaining on dry land. “Hidden Worlds” is on view at Rudolf Budja Gallery in Miami Beach until June 19th. Visitors can enjoy “impactainment,” an immersive journey into the deepest depths, thanks to cutting-edge technology. The multi-faceted display, which includes an interactive culinary experience, is designed to engage visitors and make them fall in love with the ocean, resulting in future change and activism.

Swimwear will take to the runway for a good cause at the inaugural event of Miami Swim Week 2022 on July 13th from 7 – 10 p.m. at SLS South Beach. The Little Lighthouse Foundation, a South Florida organization that assists underserved children and their families through more than 20 proprietary programs with 33 partner facilities including homeless shelters, hospitals, and youth centers, will benefit from the debut evening, which will feature Ema Savahl Design.
