With the relaxation of Covid-19 regulations in The Bahamas, Grand Bahama Island is seeing an increase in demand in destination weddings. The increase in interest in destination weddings is due in part to the exposure the Bahamas Islands received last year, when the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism launched a Virtual Romance Expo, “From The Bahamas With Love,” aimed at consumers looking for inspiration for their perfect destination wedding, honeymoon, or romantic getaway.
Grand Bahama Island is an ideal location for saying “I do.” It has a large range of indoor and outdoor settings for weddings, celebrations, and opulent events. The couple was drawn to The Bahamas because of the sun, sand, and sea, and their favorite experience was being able to enjoy the Garden of the Groves after their ceremony and spend time at Taino Beach before returning to their cruise ship. According to Adam Speck, the groom, the couple experienced exceptional customer service when organizing their wedding.
Officials from the Ministry of Tourism are thrilled to see an increase in Grand Bahama destination weddings and will continue to promote the simplified, no-hassle Bahamian legal processes for getting married in our islands. According to the legislation, the couple must remain in The Bahamas for 24 hours prior to the application date and submit all necessary documentation.
There is no question that Grand Bahama is a beautiful place to visit. The white sand beaches are perfect for swimming and sunbathing, and the crystal clear water is ideal for diving or just floating around. The island has so much to offer, from world-class resorts to lush rainforest and plenty of shopping opportunities. There’s also tons of things to do, from exploring the stunningly restored capital city of Nassau to taking in a show at one of the many lively nightlife spots. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or want to explore all that Grand Bahama has to offer, there’s no doubt that it’s one of the best islands in the Caribbean.
