When the Queen Elizabeth cruises in Alaska this summer, guests will have the opportunity to ride the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train. Depending on the sailing date, guests will be able to prolong their Alaska adventure with either a four-night pre-voyage train experience or a three-night post-voyage package. The three-night Rocky Mountaineer tour travels east from Vancouver to Calgary, while the four-night train tour travels west and includes an extra day of sightseeing in Banff, where the highlight is an amazing ride on the Banff Gondola.

The three-night post-voyage tours begin at $2,850 per person based on double occupancy and are available on two Japan to Alaska voyages (Q318A, Q319) as well as four Alaska trips roundtrip out of Vancouver ranging from 10 to 11 nights (Q323, Q324, Q325, Q326). The four-night pre-voyage tour costs $3,250 per person based on double occupancy and is available on three Alaska journeys roundtrip from Vancouver that range from seven to ten nights (Q321, Q322, Q323).

The iconic Rocky Mountaineer train, the sole passenger rail service on this historic rail route, will provide guests with expansive glass-dome windows and sumptuous cars. From every position, breathtaking 180-degree panoramic vistas of snow-capped mountains, glistening lakes, and winding gorges are available. Rocky Mountaineer, known for its GoldLeaf Service, has an onboard dining room where customers may enjoy culinary delights inspired by the region with a new 2023 menu, as well as complete complimentary bar service.

The Queen Elizabeth’s summer in Alaska will be full of adventure and discovery, with experts from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, TV personality Bear Grylls, and legendary explorer Mensun Bound, to mention a few. The unique Alaska Afternoon Tea, the beautiful Ice White Ball, and a new dining concept called Frontier, which offers a taste of Alaska, are among highlights on Queen Elizabeth.
