With off-site bag check and TSA screening, Landline and American bring the airport to travelers; American joins other Landline partners in creating a seamless travel experience from the first to last mile. Landline, the stress-free travel platform, has teamed with American Airlines to expand the carrier’s route network and provide passengers with a more seamless experience. Landline’s third major airline partnership—which also includes the two main U.S. carriers—comes as the company seeks $28 million to fund its rapid geographic development and platform innovation.

Through a single flight booking, Landline and American will provide an easy and delightful travel experience. Customers can check in for their flight, check their baggage, and clear security at a local Landline Portal before taking stress-free ground transportation directly to their gate. Soft leather seats, free Wi-Fi, in-seat power, and streaming entertainment are all standard features on Landline’s cutting-edge vehicles.

Customers flying to or from Allentown/Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (ABE) and Atlantic City, New Jersey (ACY) via American’s Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) hub will be able to use the service starting June 3. The cooperation will allow American to expand its route network in a cost-effective and ecologically beneficial manner. Like any other connecting flight, Landline will be fully linked with American’s airline booking system and properly timed with departure and arrival schedules.

Landline has partnered with American for the third time. Denver International Airport, Fort Collins, CO, and Breckenridge, CO are currently served by United Airlines and Landline. In Minnesota and Wisconsin, Sun Country Airlines and Landline serve a total of seven markets. Landline has closed a $28 million investment led by Drive Capital in the midst of its rapid growth. Landline’s expansion into important hub markets will be aided by the cash, which will also assist consumer-friendly improvements.

To date, Landline has raised $38 million, including an initial investment from Upfront Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, and industry experts such as Tusk Ventures and Wildcat Capital, David Bonderman’s family business. Landline is collaborating with its Transportation Security Administration security partners to create links between major hubs and rural airports. Future Landline services will connect industrial parks, corporate campuses, cruise ports, and other handy places, pending regulatory permission. From their front door to their final destination, Landline sees a world in which everyone has a smooth, stress-free connection.
