Military Families are Entitled to Free Admission to National Parks for a Limited Time

All military families are invited to attend. Join us in celebrating National Park Week.

Join us in celebrating National Park Week. 16th through 24th of April. Bring your family to celebrate National Park Week with fun, family activities, and more as we honor our service men and women and our network of parks. Pick up your free Interagency federal recreation lands pass for yourself and your family.

Take a ranger-led walking tour of the Springfield Armory, participate in Junior Ranger activities, construct a sun catcher, plant some seeds, learn about bees, attend a ranger program, and more. For further information, see the activities schedule or call 413-734-855.

Military families are entitled to free admission to national parks. Current U.S. military members and their dependents, U.S. military veterans, and Gold Star Families are all eligible for free admission to national parks and other government recreation sites with the Interagency Military Pass. During business hours, passes are available at the Springfield Armory. More information and locations can be found here. National Parks are open to the public for free. Thank you for your time and effort.

Join the Junior Ranger program. Explore. Protect and learn. During your visit, complete a series of activities, discuss your experiences with a ranger, take the pledge, and receive your certificate. You can get a free federal lands park pass if you’re in fourth grade. Complete a short exercise on the Every Kid Outdoors website. At Springfield Armory, you can exchange your paper ticket for a permanent pass and start your adventure to Find Your Park!

On display is student artwork with a global connection. The International Fiber Collaborative brought together 121 students from six Massachusetts schools to create original artwork based on the topic “A Global Connection.” Their work will be on exhibit until June 13th. Coburn Elementary, Chestnut Hill Community School, Silver Lake Regional High, Uxbridge High, Westhampton Elementary, and Williamsburg Elementary are among the participating schools.
