The Taste Of ICELAND Festival Is Welcome In BeanTown

Guests are encouraged to participate in a celebration of Iceland’s legendary food, cocktails, music, movies, literature, and other cultural icons.

Inspired by Iceland, Taste of Iceland 2022, an annual festival of Icelandic culture in North America, was unveiled today. The tour’s next stop is Boston, Massachusetts, where locals may travel to Iceland through a series of activities inspired by and celebrating the best of Icelandic culture through food and beverage, music, literature, films, art, and more from April 7 to 11.

The Cheeky Monkey, Alibi, Trident Bookseller & Cafe, the SoWa Power Station, Brattle Theater and the Wicked Queer Film Festival, Down Under Yoga, and Royale will organize events throughout the five-day festival in collaboration with local companies in Boston and Taste of Iceland’s official partners. The following events are on the calendar:

From April 7-10, Cheeky Monkey, situated at 3 Lansdowne Street in Boston, will host an Icelandic Culinary Experience every day starting at 5 p.m.

Cocktail Class with Icelandic brands Reyka Vodka and Olafsson Gin: April 7, 4 p.m., at Alibi within The Liberty Hotel, 215 Charles Street.

The Write Stuff with Iceland’s First Lady, Eliza Reid: April 8, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., at the Trident Bookseller & Café, located at 338 Newbury Street in Boston

Down Under School of Yoga, situated at 2000 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, will host an Elemental Sound Bath on April 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

At 3 p.m., immediately following the Elemental Sound Bath at the Down Under School of Yoga, Icelandic Provisions Snack Bar will open.

Cop Secret Film Screening: April 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, situated at 40 Brattle St.

The majority of the programs will be free to the public and will be based on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited space.
