2. Arches National Park, Utah

The sandstone formations in Arches National Park are fascinating at any time of the year, but seeing them under a blanket of snow is truly stunning. The best part is that winter is the low season in the area, so you can enjoy the scenes in peace. Follow the Scenic Drive and make a stop at the different points to enjoy the best views.

3. The Pacific Coast Highway, California

This unit is one of the best of all time, so why not make it in the winter? California offers a pleasant climate compared to other states, especially if you travel in the first half of winter before the rain arrives. A road trip is a great way to soak up the late sun while enjoying the view, and the scenery isn’t much better than The Pacific Coast Highway. Check out places of interest such as Venice Beach and Santa Monica, or visit coastal cities such as Pismo Beach to enjoy long stretches of sand and a relaxed atmosphere. If you have time, consider stops at some of the national parks along the way.

4. Great Island, Hawaii

Is there a better place to escape the winter than Hawaii? You’re sure not to worry about snow and winter jackets while enjoying a cocktail by the pool. The tropical weather makes it an epic road trip, so rent a car and start touring the island!

You will fly to Kona or Hilo airport and it is easy to start your road trip from any of the cities. To enjoy a tour of the island, you’ll want to leave for at least a few days, especially if you plan to stop at the different beaches and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

5. Salt Lake City, Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada

Take the most frequent routes with a road trip between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. If the weather is on your side, forget about the boring freeway route that takes you directly between the two destinations and take the side roads. You will enjoy a real pleasure as you pass through the winter landscape, stopping at the various national parks on your way. Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park and Valley of Fire State Park are great options with fantastic natural scenery. End your trip with a few days living it in Sin City!
