Ayesha Curry takes her well-known Sweet July brand to San Francisco’s Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection hotel. The acclaimed restaurateur, chef, 2x New York Times best-selling author, philanthropist, television host, and producer debuts a Sweet July Pop-Up Shop in the Palace and introduces her signature Sweet July Tea experience in The Garden Court on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

An expansion of Ayesha’s flagship store in Oakland, California, is The Sweet July Pop-Up Shop. Through both its featured tales and its merchandise, Sweet July aims to help people discover happiness and gratitude in life’s little pleasures. Offering Sweet July brand products among the best premium goods from Black-owned businesses and regional artisans, the Palace site will keep the celebration going. To make the Pop-Up as much like “home” as possible, design cues from the Oakland flagship will be used.

Those who have visited the Oakland location will be familiar with the distinctive painting that runs the length of the wall and pays honor to Ayesha Curry’s background by featuring Lignum vitae flowers, the national flower of Jamaica. The area will also include organic materials and textures, bringing the outdoors inside to create a cozy, tranquil environment.

The Garden Court, a renowned dining location in the Palace Hotel, will serve as the venue for Ayesha Curry’s Sweet July Tea. The real spirit of Sweet July is embodied by Afternoon Tea at the Palace. Since 1910, generations of residents and guests have gathered in The Garden Court to commemorate important occasions and take part in this cherished custom.

Delicious recipes hand-selected by Ayesha from the pages of Sweet July magazine are incorporated into The Garden Court favorites on the menu. The recipes that will be highlighted include “Savory S’mores,” little crab cake sandwiches with avocado sauce, and caramel pecan cheesecake bites. The dessert that Sweet July is most known for, their renowned bread pudding, a popular staple served at their Oakland café, will also be available.

The Garden Court will serve Sweet July Tea on the following Saturdays in 2022: July 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Adults: $90; kids: $55. Bookings must be made in advance and can be done at opentable.com or by dialing 415-546-5089.
