The first Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival (NPIWFF), taking place from March 15 to March 19, 2023, is being announced by Atlantis Paradise Island, the most recognizable destination resort in the Caribbean. On npiwff.org, tickets are currently available for the Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival. In addition to performances by Grammy® Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated rapper Wyclef Jean at Jerk Jam on March 18, the five-day festival features top chefs, master sommeliers, mixologists, and notable TV personalities from around the world.
These include Tony Abou-Ganim, Alex Guarnaschelli, JJ Johnson, Aarón Sánchez, Alon Shaya, Michael White, and Andrew Zimmern. The festival’s final night Sugar & Spice after party is hosted by Duff Goldman and DJ Kim Lee from Netflix’s Bling Empire at The Cove pool. The festival will promote Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the goal of preserving marine life and its vulnerable ecosystems throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean seas, and highlight the Bahamas as a burgeoning culinary and entertainment hotspot.
Following the success of Atlantis’ Taste of Paradise Food & Wine Festival, the newly renamed Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival will be expanded to feature local and regional chefs and restaurants, music performances, upscale dinners, beachside parties, cooking demonstrations, and family-friendly activities held throughout the resort. In addition to bringing renowned chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists from around the world to the Bahamas for the eagerly awaited five-day festival, Atlantis Paradise Island is the only place in the Caribbean with three Michelin-rated chefs, enhancing the Bahamas’ position as the ultimate culinary destination in the region.
Guests can enjoy the island’s long-standing favorites like Sip Sip, McKenzie’s Conch Shack, Bimini Road, Sun & Ice gelato and ice cream by Bahamian chef Wayne Moncur, locally produced beers, and Paradise Rum, Atlantis’ signature rum made by John Watling’s Nassau distillery, while taking part in events with visiting celebrity chefs. Visitors will also be able to enjoy the eagerly awaited inauguration of the resort’s new restaurants and bars, including Paranza from Michelin-starred chef Michael White, Café Martinique from internationally renowned chef Adrian Delcourt, and The Dilly Club from the much-loved Bon Vivants Bar & Café.
With five miles of white sand beaches, crystalline blue waters, and #BahamasAtHeart hospitality as its backdrop, the festival’s attendees will spend five days in culinary ecstasy. Programming for culinary events includes:
Taste of Paradise The festival’s main tasting event including celebrity chefs JJ Johnson, Alon Shaya, Andrew Zimmern, and others.
Celebrity Chef Wine Lunches and Dinners The unique in-restaurant dining experiences will be hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli, Aarón Sánchez, Michael White, and Andrew Zimmern and will feature their recipes matched with trademark wines.
Ice Cream Social A fun-filled afternoon of desserts for the whole family with Duff Goldman and the resort’s in-house pastry and dessert experts.
